In place for almost a decade, Platypus has three core products in use at Deutsche Bank today:

  • CLANS - a call level alert notification service that notifies registered recipients when call levels have been reached via SMS, email and desktop
  • Live - the ability to pull down live financial data using Reuters codes via SMS
  • Wireless - the ability to disseminate key financial data via scheduled SMS to registered recipients

The introduction of these products has allowed a "follow the sun" approach to the trading desks which has meant significant savings for the bank and closure of its traditional night desk.
